As the CEO and Chair of Zinnia, Michele Trogni’s mission is to enable growth of the Life and Annuity insurance industry. Through cutting-edge technology and products that create better experiences for all stakeholders, Zinnia enables carriers and distributors to create, sell, and service insurance products with unmatched speed, scale and efficiency. With a career spanning global leadership roles in insurance and financial services, Michele is recognized as a change agent who has a proven track record in leveraging technology to streamline complex industries and deliver scaled outcomes. Before joining Zinnia, Michele served as EVP at IHS Markit, where she led high-impact portfolios focused on data insights, analytics, and transformative technology solutions for financial markets worldwide. Her extensive career also includes over two decades at UBS, where she served as Group CIO and Head of Operations. Michele continues to serve on the board of Deutsche Bank, where she advises on technology and risk management. She is inspired by technology innovation and loves to bring people together who share her passion: to build platforms that transform industries.

Who would ever guess that Michael is a gifted athlete who spent time on the junior pro tennis tour? Fortunately for us, he still aces it every time. Michael’s skills have been seasoned by years in the competitive world of fintech, and he never takes his eyes off the ball. When he’s not designing product for Open Insurance, you’ll find him on the trail with his wife and two giant Rottweilers. But to Michael, they’re just sweet cuddly pups.

As EVP, Head of Insurance Solutions at Zinnia, George brings expertise in insurance, reinsurance, distribution, and asset management. This enables him to drive innovation and expand the adoption of transformative solutions for the insurance industry. Previously, George served as Zinnia’s Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing Legal, People & Culture, Corporate Development, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Internal Audit. He was also President, COO, and General Counsel of Everly Life Insurance Company. Before that, George was Deputy General Counsel of Nassau Financial Group, where he advised on enterprise legal and business matters. His background includes extensive experience in corporate law and financial services from his tenure as a senior associate at both Pepper Hamilton LLP and Milbank LLP. He holds a B.A. from Boston College and a J.D. from New York Law School.

In Hindi, Josh means “excitement!” Which is exactly the kind of verve Josh delivers as our CEO of India. Oh sure, Josh has deep experience across the spectrum of life and annuities from project portfolio execution to business process outsourcing to strategy and governance. But you’ve never met anyone who embraces the adventure of the insurance business with the enthusiasm Josh does.
