Zinnia at InsureTech Connect #ITC2022
Last week we introduced Zinnia to the insurance industry at ITC in Las Vegas, the first time we’ve showcased our new identity since we launched earlier this month, and we couldn’t have picked a better event. Attendees were so enthusiastic about engaging (and re-engaging) with colleagues and peers across the industry and interest in innovation was very high. We had lots of conversations about Zinnia Open Insurance, and how we are taking a fresh approach to some of the life and annuity industry’s biggest challenges.
While at ITC, the Zinnia team met with a broad cross section of industry players including carriers, distributors, and potential partners. In addition to receiving great feedback on our approach with Open Insurance, carriers in particular were very interested in how our Engagement & Loyalty and Hybrid Origination platforms address major pain points: customer relationships, and a better buying experience (respectively).
Carriers were also very interested in improving administration experiences, and it’s clear that we all acknowledge that current levels of complexity aren’t sustainable. As an industry, we need to simplify how life and annuities products are bought, sold, serviced, and experienced. This is exactly our goal with Zinnia Open Insurance. Carriers are also interested in simplifying their vendor relationships, looking for partners that can help them with pre-integrated solutions, and ideally removing the carrier from the nitty-gritty of one-off integrations.
It was also nice to see that the balance between P&C and life and annuities content and companies at ITC is getting stronger every year. While the pace of innovation in P&C has been faster, it’s clear that the market for innovation in life and annuities is maturing. Another example of this was evident in the overall market messaging. We noticed a move away from discussions of “digital transformation” to a more concrete concept of “experience.” Delivering exceptional experiences to all is the purpose that drives us at Zinnia.
We always look forward to ITC and having the opportunity to come together as an industry. This year was particularly special because our transformation into Zinnia has broadened our ability to support clients and it was so nice to get positive feedback on the changes we’ve made. Now we’re looking forward to our next event – the LIMRA Annual Conference in Chicago, this October. Hope to see you there!
