As SE2, we made a number of strategic investments that became the foundation for our evolution into Zinnia. And as Zinnia, we’ve effectively combined the leading technology we either built internally or acquired with our rich history in the insurance industry. Our goal is to help carriers reimagine how life and annuities are bought, sold, serviced, and experienced.

Along the way, we’ve been building a terrific team that is committed to delivering excellence at every level. And we were delighted to have the team’s hard work recognized with a gold and a silver ‘Best in Biz’ award for Best New Product of the Year – Enterprise and Enterprise Product of the Year – Financial Software.

New Year, New Opportunities

We are very enthusiastic about the opportunity to improve the experience of life and annuities for our carrier clients: it’s going to be a big year for Zinnia. It’s also shaping up to be a big year for insurance carriers. A recent report from McKinsey & Company describes the unique opportunities for carriers and encourages them to “to raise their aspirations and move more quickly on their strategic priorities.”

Several forces are at play in 2023 that combine to make it a great year for significant progress towards modernization. Interest rates are rising for the first time in many years, to the benefit of many insurance carriers. Decades of digital transformation work are starting to pay off.

Carriers that made significant, strategic investments in technology over the years are now well positioned as the digital arms race intensifies. And for carriers that have proceeded more cautiously, technology advancements make it easier than ever to move forward quickly on strategic modernization efforts.

Our New Year’s Resolution to the Life and Annuities Industry

Put simply, our resolution is to eliminate complexity and friction to simplify the experience of insurance for all stakeholders. We want to help grow the industry and ultimately help more families benefit from these products.
